Based in Gili Trawangan, we have been helping travelers explore Lombok and its surrounding islands since 1992. With more than 30 years of local experience, we know these islands, communities, and waters firsthand.
Our journeys go beyond the famous Three Gilis, from snorkeling with turtles and exploring colorful reefs around Lombok to multi-day sailing adventures through Komodo.

You do not need to be an experienced swimmer to join many of our snorkeling trips. If you are not confident in the water, please inform our team before the trip so we can provide appropriate guidance and assistance. Participation may also depend on sea and weather conditions.

Snorkeling equipment such as a mask, snorkel, and fins is provided on our snorkeling trips and selected sailing packages. Inclusions may vary depending on the package, so please check the details of your selected trip before booking.

Yes, many of our snorkeling trips are suitable for beginners and families with children. Our team can help you choose a suitable trip based on age, experience, comfort level, and current sea conditions.

There are many snorkeling destinations to explore, from Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air to quieter locations around Lombok such as Gili Nanggu, Gili Gede, Gili Kondo, and Pink Beach. Each destination offers a different underwater experience.

Sea turtles are commonly seen around several snorkeling areas in the Gili Islands, particularly around Gili Trawangan and Gili Meno. However, turtles are wild animals in their natural habitat, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Manta Point is one of the best-known snorkeling destinations in Komodo for manta ray encounters. Manta rays may be seen during suitable conditions, but because they are wild animals, sightings cannot be guaranteed.

We recommend bringing swimwear, a towel, sun protection, comfortable clothing, a reusable water bottle, and an underwater camera if you have one. Please also check your selected package for any additional items you may need.

Yes. Private snorkeling tours are available for selected destinations around the Gili Islands and Lombok. Private trips are a great option for couples, families, and groups who prefer a more personal experience.

Snorkeling is included in many of our Komodo sailing itineraries, with stops at selected marine destinations along the journey. The exact snorkeling locations depend on the route, itinerary, weather, and sea conditions.

BEFORE YOU JUMP IN

SNORKELING DO’S & DON’TS

A few simple guidelines to keep you safe and protect the reef, so everyone enjoys a better snorkeling experience around the Gili Islands, Lombok, and Komodo.

DO

Listen to your guide and follow the safety briefing before every session.
Check that your mask, snorkel, and fins fit properly before entering the water.
Wear a life vest if you are not a confident swimmer — there is no shame in it.
Use reef-safe sunscreen or wear a rash guard to protect your skin and the coral.
Stay calm, breathe slowly, and float relaxed on the surface to conserve energy.
Keep close to your group and stay within the area your guide points out.
Tell the crew if you feel tired or unwell, and rest between sessions.

DON’T

Don’t touch, chase, or ride turtles, manta rays, or any marine life.
Don’t stand on or kick the coral — it is alive, fragile, and can cut you.
Don’t feed the fish or any other sea creatures.
Don’t snorkel alone or drift away from your group and the boat.
Don’t panic if water enters your mask — stop, float, and clear it calmly.
Don’t overestimate your swimming ability or ignore the current.
Don’t leave any trash or plastic behind in the sea.
