We will travel for approximately 1.5 hours to reach Tetebatu Village. During the journey, we can make stops at the best photo spots such as Malimbu, Nipah, or the Monkey Forest in Pusuk.
As we enter Tetebatu Village, we are greeted by the beauty of blooming flowers on both sides of the road. Our first destination is the Soedjono Tetebatu Museum. It’s worth noting that Dr. Soedjono was the pioneer behind the establishment of Tetebatu’s tourism village. He was the first doctor in Lombok to live during the post-Dutch colonial era. He once built a hotel for his guests from the Netherlands who wanted to visit him in Lombok. Over time, Dr. Soedjono played a significant role in educating the local residents to develop the tourism village.
Following the visit to the museum, we will take a walk towards the forest located above Tetebatu Village, precisely in Ulem-Ulem Village. This forest is still part of the protected area of Gunung Rinjani National Park. Here, we can spot rare endemic species such as black monkeys and birds, as well as various tropical forest plants.
Afterward, we will search for a local restaurant to relax and enjoy our lunch
After lunch, we will continue our exploration of the beauty of Tetebatu. This time, we will descend to one of the waterfalls here known as the “Sarang Burung Walet” waterfall. While this waterfall may not be as large as the waterfalls in Senaru Village, what makes it unique and enchanting is the path we take to reach it. We’ll traverse a 300-meter-long bamboo bridge and descend along the river and through caves, making this place a favorite destination for tourists.
After enjoying the refreshing waterfall, we will hike up and follow a footpath to the terraced rice fields in Tetebatu Village. The scenery here resembles the rice terraces in Ubud, Bali, which is why many people refer to Tetebatu as the ‘Ubud of Lombok.
After exploring Tetebatu Village, we will return to the vehicle parking area to prepare for our departure from Tetebatu to Loyok Village. The distance is not too far, just a 15-minute drive.
Upon arrival, we will witness the process of crafting by local residents using bamboo and rattan. We will also provide each tour participant with a souvenir in the form of a unique Lombok handicraft.

Two years later, he returned to Lombok and started to make Tete Batu village his place of residence, along with guests who visited Lombok, including the Dutch colonialists. Today, this residence has been transformed into a gallery with the ambiance of an old Dutch colonial house, preserving a lot of the history behind the establishment of Tete Batu as one of the tourism villages.
Tete Batu village is a place that offers expansive tiered rice terraces with a backdrop of Mount Rinjani. The village itself is situated at an elevation of 700 meters above sea level and is directly adjacent to the Mount Rinjani National Park forest area. Loyok Village is the largest bamboo craft producer in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), located in the Sikur area of East Lombok. Not only is Ayam Taliwang famous as the signature dish of Lombok, but there is also another iconic Lombok dish that has been legendary for the past 50 years, known as Ayam Rarang. Ayam Rarang is chicken seasoned with a blend of bird’s eye chili and red chili, giving the dish its fiery red appearance. However, in reality, this chicken dish is not as spicy as it looks because the primary seasoning used is red chili, which is milder compared to bird’s eye chili.
When you visit Rumah Makan Rarang, you will also find other traditional Lombok dishes such as Pelecing and various Lombok-style vegetables. This restaurant is located in the village of Rarang, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Late Arrivals and Cancellation a. For trips, late arrivals exceeding 10 minutes may not be able to participate in the activity. b. Cancellations can be made with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice before the activity starts and will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Health and Safety a. Participants must be in good physical and mental health to take part in the activities. b. Participants must follow the instructions of the guide and responsible staff to ensure safety.
Participant Responsibility a. Participants are fully responsible for their belongings and cannot hold the organizers liable for any loss or damage. b. Participants must maintain cleanliness and environmental preservation during the activities.
