Ahead of Indonesia\u2019s 81st Independence Day, efforts to maintain the cleanliness of Mount Rinjani are once again receiving attention. The Mount Rinjani National Park (TNGR)<\/a> management continues to encourage everyone visiting the area to take an active role in protecting the mountain and its surrounding environment.<\/p>

A clean-up campaign was organized as part of the preparations for Indonesia\u2019s Independence Day on August 17. In October 2025, the TNGR Rescue Team carried out a rappelling clean-up operation<\/strong> in the steep cliffs between Pelawangan 1 and Pelawangan 4 on the Sembalun route to collect waste from areas that are difficult to reach using conventional cleaning methods.<\/p>

This shows that managing waste in a mountainous environment can require considerable effort.<\/p>
